If you need help paying for your Intents ticket, or tents, camping equipment or even wet weather shoes (or anything else that might limit your ability to come and spend a time away in the May holiday) there are a number of places to turn to to apply for funding for part of all of your ticket (or whatever else it is you need).
Here are two that might help and dont require a massive amount of form filling!
The Graham Leavers Memorial Trust was set up in 1979 in memory of Graham who had a life long concern for young people springing from his commitment to Jesus Christ as Lord. His primary interest was to share Christ with marginalised young people. In 1994 the trust merged with the Philip’s fund set up in memory of Mike and Cath Coulson’s son who died aged 7 and it now provides gifts to help young people attend Christian residential events and holidays. Details can be obtained from: Linda Peake, 1 Hall Close, Henham, Bishop Stortford, Herts CM22 6AU. Tel: 01279-850374 email lmpeake1@hotmail.com.
The David Chilcott Fund distributes about £11,000 each year. Its purpose is to help young people attend Christian holidays, courses and conferences, which they would otherwise not be able to afford, by contributing financially to the costs of the event and travelling to it. They provide up to half the costs or up to £80.
Applications to this fund can be made via the Treasurer:
